I love using positive affirmations to help keep me focused on what’s most important in life. People I see often appear conflicted most days. As an artist, I study the facial expressions, eyes, and body language of people around me. I have learned by reading about people who spend their lives inspiring others and the knowledge they left behind to help me to do the same. That is why art is so important to me. It crosses every line of being possible. Regardless of who, or what, or where a person may have originated. We all have something important that we can share with others. Because we are all important to each other.

My mother was always smiling and positive. At times, people even thought of her as silly. Of course, we all struggle with daily challenges; and fears. Be my guest, at Leland Cultural Arts Center, my 2nd art exhibition, Valiance In Men 20 Famous Black Men. Drawings will include the following men and titles of drawings: 1. Denzel Washington “Intimidation”, Usher “Usher the Heart Musher”, Lawrence Fishburne “Come Here”, Idris Elba “Cuspa”, Kobe Bryant “Swoosh”, Chadwick Bosman “Mr. Boss Man”, Sidney Poitier “Mesmerize”, Morgan Freeman “A Lifetime”, Muhammed Ali-Valiance, Will Smith “Unstoppable”, Wesley Snipes ” Excellence”, Louis Gossett Jr. “Fatherly”, Eddie Murphy “Gifted”, Billy Dee Williams “Talk to Me”, Vin Diesel’s-Smile, Dwayne Johnson “Man of Steel”, Wentworth Miller “Freeze Don’t Move”, Daniel Sunjata “Amore”, Shemar Moore “Flirtatious”, Gary Dourdan “Those Eyes”. Each drawing will be an 81/2×11 on black Cranson paper and in a floating glass black metal frame. All drawings will be the same size. Each will sell for $100.00 at the end of the exhibition on February 23, 2022.
This exhibition is one of a kind, it will be helping to support the following local businesses: Rebecca’s Charcuterie, Cakemans’ Bakes, that were discovered with the help of Genesis Block. Yummy Body, Felisha Godbolt with the help of Frankies Farmers Market here in Wilmington NC., and Peace and Kava who have dedicated an entire wall to more of my artwork. They are located at: 823 South Kerr Avenue, Wilmington, NC. Stop by to help support your local small businesses at the Leland Cultural Arts Center, February 5th, 2022, from 1-3. This will be free and open to the public. If you are an art connoisseur, and want to have a great time, come and join us refreshments will be provided.
